ABOUT NOIBF

It is the mission of the New Orleans Infant Burial Foundation to serve and support the families through the grieving and healing process after the loss of an infant by offering guidance, resources, and financial assistance during a time of tragedy and sorrow. Our hope and intention is a respectful internment that becomes the catalyst to allow healing to begin.

NOIBF was created and developed by Tulane School of Social Work Graduate students, Sherryl Billiot, Christy Helmke, Kelly Leahy, and Josh Long under the guidance of Dr. Jane Parker. They were inspired by working with grieving families, and personal loss. Being on the front lines, they saw a great need for our city, and this project was moved into reality by their hard work and dedication. In the early stages of their project they partnered with Twenty35npo, an established non-profit, so their work could continue on past their graduations. Thanks to their colossal efforts, and with the support of the local companies, and community, Twenty35npo is still able to come to the needs of families who experience the unexpected loss of their infants.

Let Us Help.

At Twenty35npo we have partnered with many local companies to help ease the financial burden of your unexpected loss. We have also put together a list of resources to help you get through this difficult time. If you would like one of our members to reach out to you directly, please be sure to leave your contact number in the message below.
