Rebeca Milford

Executive Director and Co-founder

Hey, I am Rebeca! And I LOVE PEOPLE! Not to brag or anything, but I have been told that I give the best hugs. Like award winning good. But in all seriousness, I am a mother of four whose journey into motherhood started at the young age of 16. Against all odds, Brad (my husband) and I navigated our way through the challenges of being teen parents, young newlyweds (18), and to this day we still walk hand in hand to face whatever life may throw at us. Throughout our marriage we have been faced with many hardships, but the one that has shaped our marriage the most was the loss of our daughter, Victoria. Victoria, was our second child, at nine months I knew something was off when I couldn’t feel her moving around. It was 3 days before her due date, on August 23, 1996 that I delivered her stillborn. In God’s fashion, he turned our pain into action, thus 20:35 was cultivated.

Jenny Lemoine

Director and Co-Founder

Hello all! I’m Jenny!  I'm a mother to one spectacular young man, sister to two beautiful women, daughter to the greatest parents and friend to a wide array of amazing human beings!  I, like Rebeca, LOVE people (she does give great hugs) and began motherhood at a young age.  There were many paths I could have taken throughout my life, but having faith things would work out, I somehow managed to get it right!  Fast forward many years, I had this burning desire to do more; to share my story, to change a life, to help someone in need.  Over lunch one day, after almost 20 years of being apart, Rebeca and I had a conversation about starting something!  Something big, something useful, something that allowed us to give back! So here we are today, doing more than just talking about it, we are walking the walk!

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” -Acts 20:35

Rebeca L. Hasbun

Chief of Operations

Hola, I am Rebeca L. Hasbun. I was born in Managua, Nicaragua and came to this great country with my parents and siblings in 1954. I am an enormously proud mother of 2, and grandmother of 4. I am semi-retired as of July 2019. The last sixteen years of my career were the most rewarding because I was able to work with the city to assist the needy, the under-resourced, and the Latino Community. My work with the city programs provided the knowledge to help Twenty35 operations. I am extremely blessed to work with my daughter Rebeca (yes, she is named after me which is a thing in Hispanic culture). When I am not volunteering for Twenty35, or doing part time freelance work, you can find me in the garden because I am most at peace when I am making beautiful things grow.

Jennifer Tate

Director of Special Events

Hey y’all! It’s Jenn here. In early 2012, my husband (Jared) and I decided we wanted to deepen our relationship with God, so we signed up for a year long class at our church. Little did I know, that decision would shape our lives forever in the best way possible! In that class not only did we deepen our relationship, but we grew as people, and met some really amazing forever friends…. The Milfords! Over a few years of our friendship, Rebeca, recognized a talent in me that I viewed as trivial. I have always been creative and have a knack for seeing the big picture. One day, Rebeca approached me to be a part of the Twenty35 team. As a true believer that God gives us all different gifts for the purpose of a whole community, I was excited to be a part of something bigger. I am forever amazed at how God can turn something as silly as being good at throwing parties, into works for His Kingdom. When we allow Him to be a partner in every aspect of our lives, He makes something beautiful out of it.

Brad Milford

Logistics Coordinator

Hey, it’s Brad. Rebeca and I have been married for 25 years, and we have 4 amazing (yet pain in the butt) kids. After the loss of our daughter in 1996 I removed myself from my faith, my family, my friends, and lived an isolated life for many years- despite being surrounded by people who love me. One Easter morning, my wife forced me to go to church with the family. This church was unlike anything I had ever experienced before, and I knew in my heart that something had to change. I went to a lot of classes and teachings within the church that started to change my relationship with Christ. At some point in my walk, I started doing mission trips. On my first trip to Mexico, we spent a week helping the local orphanage and community. We had the morning off so I took a walk up the mountainside. Once I reached the top there was a scripture at the foot of the cross that said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive“ (Acts 20:35). In that moment, I realized what He was doing in me. To this day, mission work is one of the ways I connect with Christ.

Shawn Rich

Executive Advisor

Hello, I am Shawn!  I am the dad of one bio-son, an adopted daughter and an adopted son.  My wife Ana and I have been married for 18 years and along the way have had the joy of fostering many children in our home.  Like so many, our journey into parenthood started with heartache and loss but God redeemed our story, as he always does, and in the midst of the pain He took our hands and created something beautiful.  Together God has given us the desire to be moved to action by caring for those that he has placed before us.  Through simple acts, big and small, that bring about real change to the world around us.
